Plans & Pricing
Every account is on a plan that decides how many stories you can have, how many times they can be played, and which features are switched on. Your current plan is shown on your profile badge on the Studio dashboard.

Annual billing is cheaper than paying monthly on every paid plan. Prices are also shown in EUR, RUB, and CNY — switch currency in the pricing section on skaz.io .
Everyone who joined during the beta keeps Creator free, forever. If you’re one of them and also pay for a plan, you get whichever is more generous on each line of the table — never less than Creator.
Story limits
Your story count includes every story you own, published or not. Stories shared with you through a team don’t count. When you hit your plan’s limit, creating a new story is blocked and you’re offered an upgrade instead. You don’t lose access to any story you already have — you just can’t create new ones until you upgrade.
There’s currently no way to delete a story, so freeing up a slot isn’t possible yet — upgrading is the only way past the limit.
Plays per month
On Free, your stories can be started 100 times a month between them. The count resets on the first of each month. Once it’s used up, new players see a message that the author has reached their monthly limit; anyone already in the middle of a story finishes it. Paid plans have no cap.
Upgrading
Click Upgrade plan from the story-limit prompt (or from the AI co-writer panel on a free account), or go straight to skaz.io/#pricing and pick a plan.
Skaz is in beta and paid billing isn’t switched on yet — the checkout page is a placeholder for now. Everyone who joins during the beta keeps Creator-tier access free while we build it out.
Promo codes
If you have a promo code, redeem it at skaz.io/redeem (you’ll be asked to sign in first if you aren’t already). You can also reach it from the ticket icon on your profile badge in Studio.
There are two kinds of code:
- Plan codes grant you a plan — for example, Studio for 30 days — free of charge. The upgrade takes effect immediately: the moment you redeem, your account switches to that plan, and after the code’s period ends it automatically reverts to whatever plan you had before (or Free).
- Discount codes take a percentage off a paid plan. They’re saved to your account and will apply automatically at checkout once paid billing is live.
Enter the code and press Activate. You’ll see exactly what it granted, and you’re taken straight to Studio to start using it.
Each code can be used once per account. A code may also have a limited number of total uses or an expiry date set by whoever issued it — if it’s run out or lapsed, you’ll see a message saying so.
