AI Co-writer
The AI co-writer is a chat assistant built into the editor that can draft entire branches — text, choices, and variable logic — for you to review and drop into your story.
Available on the Creator and Pro plans. Free accounts don’t have access.
Using it
Open the co-writer panel in the editor and describe what you want in plain language — a scene, a branching choice, a twist, a whole opening act. The assistant sees your story’s current nodes, choices, and variables as context, so it can reference what already exists and stay consistent with it.
While it’s working you’ll see status updates (connecting → thinking → writing → building) and a live count of nodes as they’re drafted.
Reviewing a draft
Instead of pasting text into the chat, the assistant proposes a draft — a preview card showing the nodes, choices, and variables it wants to add. Nothing is written into your story until you review it.
- Apply — adds the drafted nodes and choices to your canvas, connected as proposed.
- Keep chatting to ask for changes before applying, or ignore the draft and keep working by hand.
What it can generate
The co-writer can create Text, User Input, Set Variable Value, Change Variable Value, and Variable Router blocks — the same block types you can add by hand from the toolbar. It won’t set a starting block or publish your story for you; those steps are still manual. See Editor Basics and Publishing & Sharing.
