# Mandala

> The Mandala update: Jam for playing as a class, choice timers, the wheel of fortune, the endings mandala and how others chose.

The funk update. A whole class can now play one story together, choices can
race the clock, a wheel can decide fate, and every ending becomes a petal to
collect. [See it on skaz.io](https://skaz.io/whats-new/mandala).

## Jam: play as a class

Put a story on the big screen, and the class joins from their phones with a
six-digit code or a QR. At every decision they vote, and the majority decides
where the story goes. The teacher can't overrule the room, only break a tie.

## On the One: choices against the clock

Give any scene with two or more choices a timer and pick what happens when it
runs out. A bar drains above the choices; if it empties first, the story
chooses for the player. A reload doesn't buy extra seconds.

## Wheel of fortune

A new block the player spins. Give it as many slices as you like, each with a
label, an emoji, a colour and a weight. The story follows whichever slice it
lands on, and a reload doesn't reroll it.

## The endings mandala

A story with several endings closes on a mandala: one petal per ending,
coloured in for the ones the player has found, dashed with a question mark for
the rest. Find the last one and the whole mandala turns.

## How others chose

Turn it on for a story, and after each decision players see what share of
everyone made the same call. At the end they learn how rare their ending is.
Totals only: no one sees what a particular person chose.
