> Three hands-on Skaz tutorials, from a simple branching story to scoring and multiple endings.

These three tutorials build up from a plain branching story to a full scoring
system with multiple endings. Each one is self-contained and hands-on — you'll
end up with a real, playable story you can publish.

They're meant to be done in order, since each introduces an idea the next one
builds on:

1. **[A Branching Story](/tutorials/branching-story)** — the fundamentals:
scenes, choices, branches, and endings. No variables yet, just the shape of
   an interactive story.
2. **[A Personalized Adventure](/tutorials/personalized-adventure)** — ask the
reader a question, remember their answer in a [variable](/guide/variables),
and weave it back into the story.
3. **[Scoring & Multiple Endings](/tutorials/scoring-and-endings)** — track a
number as the reader plays and use a
[Variable Router](/guide/blocks#variable-router) to give them the ending
   they earned.

> If you haven't opened Studio yet, run through [Getting Started](/getting-started)
> first — it covers creating an account and your first story. These tutorials
> assume you've got a story open in the editor.

## How to follow along

For each tutorial:

- Create a **new story** from the Studio home (**New story** → title →
category), or reuse an empty one.
- Add blocks from the **left toolbar**, edit them in the **Node** tab on the
right, and connect them with **choices** — the general moves are all covered
  in [Editor Basics](/guide/editor-basics).
- [Preview](/guide/previewing) often (the eye icon) to play what you've built
  so far.

Ready? Start with [A Branching Story](/tutorials/branching-story).
